Who We Are

Since launching in September 2021, Young Ballerz Basketball has grown into one of the UK’s most exciting grassroots basketball programmes for children. Our mission is to inspire and develop young players through fun, structured basketball classes led by experienced, fully qualified coaches who are passionate about youth development.

Founded by Carl and Amy Robertson, who bring extensive childcare experience to the programme, we focus on creating a supportive and inclusive space for children to learn the game, stay active, and grow in confidence. With a strong belief in early engagement, our basketball sessions are open to children from as young as 3 years old, with tailored classes that match each child’s age and ability.

From boosting confidence to improving teamwork and coordination, our coaching style ensures every child has the chance to thrive—whether they’re just starting out or building on their skills. As demand continues to grow, we are expanding our classes across more communities to make basketball more accessible across the UK.
